ELU’s Mission: To cultivate young leaders today
to advance the community tomorrow

2ND ANNUAL YOUNG PROFESSIONALS CONFERENCE

ELU’s signature event is the annual Young Professionals Conference, which took place this year on May 3, 2013. ELU members and friends spent a full day hearing from experts in breakout sessions like, “When to say ‘no’ when the world wants to hear ‘yes’: Balancing your personal and professional life” and “Say it how you mean it: Modern communication in the social age.”

PHILANTHROPIC 5 AWARDS

The Philanthropic Five Awards were established by Emerging Leaders United (ELU) to recognize five young professional community leaders who have made extraordinary commitments of leadership, volunteerism, mentoring and philanthropy to central Maryland's nonprofit community. Winners were nominated by the community and selected by the ELU Committee based on the positive impact of their volunteer efforts.
