May 4: United Way Youth Venture Panelists Needed As a part of United Way’s commitment to education, 20 students from Patterson High School have formed teams and developed ideas for ways they would like to change their community. We need panelists to hear and evaluate the business plans and decide who will receive $1,000 grants to implement their venture. A conference call will be held prior to the event to answer questions. May 19: Party with a Purpose: Bowling for Books Bash with the Baltimore Ravens Help us raise money for youth education, network with other young professionals and take on Baltimore Ravens players in an evening of bowling, friends and fun. Let’s see if the home team is as good “off the field” as they are “on the field.”

May 25: Our Daily Bread Volunteer Project Join us for a day of action at Our Daily Bread (ODB). Our Daily Bread is one of Maryland’s hot meal programs, serving an average of 700 meals each day to the hungry of Baltimore City. ODB serve nutritious lunches every day of the year and breakfasts to seniors and individuals with disabilities each weekday. Volunteers will help prep and serve the mid-day meal. The shift is from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
